Kiya po (Kaya po) kami ganito dahil sa KIYAPO (Water Lily)
The Team conducted an intensive research about livelihood of the people living in Water Lily Village using water hyacinths as the main materials. The group gathered information from existing publications and related articles about the water hyacinths (water lily) and the livelihood program catered by the Association of Laborers and Employees (ALE) Party List initiated by Senator Manny Villar to people of Barangay Wilfredo Aquino, Agdao, Davao City. Interview was the immediate tool used by the researchers to answer the queries posed by the researchers.
The researchers interviewed the people of the village, the barangay officials, purok leader and representatives from ALE Party List. They gathered the information needed in the story and statement from interviewees, to elaborate questions on the study, on how they had grown out of the existing water hyacinths within the years.
Documentation through pictorials and videos was done to support the data collected. The data collected was analyzed and summarized thoroughly . The study provides knowledge and information to the readers and leaders in developing their livelihood program within their place or barangay.
The work was not just a piece of cake since every move requires effort and financial resources. The researchers considered some unpredictable weather conditions and unnecessary situation which make the study delayed and not done in target date. The blogsite was made possible through the support of the ICT Coordinator, the coach, the School Paper Adviser, our school head and the support of SMART.
